Job Description

Chief Financial Officer/ Manager/ Senior Civil Engineer/Chartered Accountants/ Electrical Engineer /Civil Engineer /Programme Coordinators / Clerical Assistants recruitment in Indian Institute Of Management Ahmedabad

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Eligibility: Ideal candidates would have qualification of Chartered Accountant (CA) from India. Additionally, MBA in Finance will be preferred qualification.

Functional Knowledge / Skills / Experience: Strong experience of at least 15 years in Accounts, Finance & Controllers functions • Currently active in a senior or similar financial management position at a reputed organization with single or multiple businesses

Experience in setting up a standard accounting systems and procedure with tight month end reporting deadlines ,Knowledge of new developments in statutory compliance/new Accounting Standards, Knowledge of IFRS and Indian Accounting Standards, Comprehensive knowledge of SAP and other financial IT systems,Equal level of comfort and expertise in dealing with both business and people (relationship) issues, Strong analytical skills; and innovative and collaborative approach to foster conducive & Harmonious relations with all stakeholders ,Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, Proven ability to transfer knowledge and motivate team members

Head - Executive Education

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  An MBA with at least 15 years’ experience of which at least five years’ experience in a senior position involving designing, developing, marketing, and selling executive programs or professional services to corporate clients.  Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, proven business development and relationship marketing skills, knowledge of adult learning practices, and consultative selling and negotiating skills are critical to success in the role.

Detailed knowledge of executive education program content, including a good understanding of key management topics and disciplines (e.g., strategy, leadership, finance, accounting, marketing, OB/HRM, operations/logistics, ethics and corporate social responsibility) is desirable.

Experience with integrated marketing techniques and tools and in applying innovative promotional vehicles to engage media and untapped markets is desirable. Strong candidates will possess outstanding abilities to work within a team environment, interface with faculty; and to have high energy, enthusiasm, and creativity.  Outstanding abilities to communicate with senior executives and decision-makers both in person and in writing;

Head – HR

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements: Post-graduate degree in HRM or related fields.  Minimum fifteen years of experience with at least five years at senior management level.

Knowledge of HR, compensation, labour laws, rules and regulations, and statutory requirements a must.  Knowledge of Govt./ PSU/ autonomous bodies preferred. Record of leading change in an organization a positive.  Should be a team player who can instil confidence and establish high performance levels.  Should have excellent networking abilities.

Manager – Contracts

Qualification & Experience: The candidate should be a Post Graduate OR professional Chartered Accountant (CA) OR professional Cost Accountant (CMA) OR holding full time MBA (Finance) degree with first class from a reputed institute. 

The candidate should have minimum 10 years of post-qualification professional experience in the field of Finance/ Accounts/ Audit/ Contracts/ Legal Departments, of which about 5 years must be in a senior position.  Experience in Autonomous Body/Academic Institution/PSU desirable. Should have detailed knowledge and experience of contract management, applicable laws and GFR

Age: Max. 50 years as on the last date of application.

Senior Civil Engineer

Knowledge & skills : Planning, Quantity survey, Estimation, site supervision & billing. Complete Project Management.  Knowledge of CPM/PERT is must.  Use of computer software like MS office, MS Projects. Experience of e-procurement and e-tendering.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  The candidate should possess full time Degree in Civil plus Degree in Civil Engineering OR full fulltime Degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum Fifteen (15) years of experience in Civil/Construction field.

Candidate should be swerving in the 6th CPC – GP 5400 or above OR drawing equivalent pay in private sector.  Supervisory experience in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the campus/township civil works related development & maintenance is highly desirable.

Manager/Officer – India Gold Policy Centre

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirement : Post graduate in any discipline (equivalent to MBA) with minimum 8 years of professional experience.

Experience in gold industry may be an added advantage.

Salary and Allowances Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment initially for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode. The contract may be extended further as per the mutual convenience.

Chartered Accountants (Accounts/Finance)


Qualification & Experience:  Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 3 years post qualification experience in the Finance/Accounts Department.

Experience of working with Autonomous Body or large Academic Institution will be an added advantage.

Salary & Allowances:  Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment initially for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode. The contract may be extended further as per the mutual convenience. During the contract period or after the successful completion of the contract, if the candidate performs very well and Institute is in need of such position, Institute may confirm the candidate in a suitable pay scale with or without further probation.

Age: Max. 35 years

Electrical Engineer

Knowledge & skills : Planning, Quantity survey, Estimation, quality assurance at site, site supervision & billing.  Complete Project Management. Knowledge of basic designs of electrical systems.  Hands on experience in maintenance of HT and LT switch gears and distribution systems.  Knowledge of CPM/PERT is must.  Use of computer software like MS office, MS Projects/Project Management Software.  Record keeping.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements : The candidate should possess full time Diploma plus Degree OR Degree in Electrical Engineering with first class from a recognized university.

Minimum five years of experience.  Must have qualifications to get an electrical engineer’s licence in Gandhinagar/ Ahmedabad.  Supervisory experience in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the campus/ township electrical field related development & maintenance is highly desirable.

Civil Engineer

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  The candidate should possess full time Diploma in Civil plus Degree in Civil Engineering OR full time Degree in Civil Engineering approved by UGC/AICTE

Minimum ten years of experience in Civil/Construction field.  Experience in planning, coordinating, and supervising the campus/township civil works related development & maintenance is highly desirable.

Salary & Allowances: Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment for a period of three years on a consolidated monthly salary on CTC mode, which may be extended for further period as required.

SAP MM Consultant

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  The candidate should be a graduate (full time) with first class from any recognized university and should have minimum three years of relevant experience OR the candidate should be a post graduate (full time) with second class from any recognized university and should have minimum one year of relevant experience. 

A post graduate management degree would be preferred.  The experience mainly related to marketing, and selling executive programs or professional services to corporate clients is a must.  The candidate should have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills and multi-tasking abilities.  The candidate should be fluent in English communication, should be capable to handle queries successfully, and should be flexible to work as per the programme requirements.  In depth knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point) and other computerrelated tasks is essential.  The candidate should have information gathering skills, understanding of basic office administrative processes, high level of technology literacy, particularly internet and social media is necessary.

Clerical Assistants

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:  The candidate should be a graduate (full time) with first class from any recognized university and should have minimum three years of relevant experience OR the candidate should be a post graduate (full time) with second class from any recognized university and should have minimum one year of relevant experience.

A post graduate management degree would be preferred. The experience mainly related to secretarial assistance may be preferred.

The candidate should have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills and multi-tasking abilities. The candidate should be fluent in English communication, should be capable to handle queries successfully, and should be flexible to work as per the programme requirements. In depth knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point) and other computerrelated tasks is essential. The candidate should have information gathering skills, understanding of basic office administrative processes, high level of technology literacy, particularly internet and social media is necessary. The candidate should have excellent common sense, communication skill and positive aptitude.
