Job Summary

Initial Assignment - Shadow TeachingAssist a child (client diagnosed with Autism or ADHD or Learning disability) in his/her school (throughout school hours) with targeted intervention strategies to improve skills in the domains of behavior, concentration, academic & social skills.Daily report will be sent to parents regarding the behavior & performance of child at school and the intervention strategies used by the shadow teacher. Job does NOT entail managing physical limitations of children (wheelchair, etc.)The client assigned will study at a school located near the candidate's residence to allow easy travel.Intensive training will be provided by the company initially to ensure that the chosen candidate is up to the mark in terms of attributes required to be a good Therapist /Counselor for special children.

Later assignment - One on one counselling sessionsAfter the hired employee has proven that she has the skills to be a good counselor, she will be promoted and given additional responsibilities of one on one counselling sessions to improve the skills of the child in various domains.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assisting one special needs child during school hours to make him more functional and independent using interventions & behavior modification techniques.

Maintain records and reports of development of the child.

Communicating with parents about child’s progress.

Sending Daily reports to parents and Starlit.

We are a for profit company which provides psychological services to children with special needs in Mumbai. We currently have a team of more than 45 employees and over 60 clients.
We offer services to children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, learning disability, Down's syndrome, etc at their school or take one on one counselling sessions at home using proper intervention techniques to guide social, academic, behavior to our stated goals.
