Our wholesale businesses include J.P. Morgan’s Asset Management, Commercial Banking and the Corporate & Investment Bank which provide products and services to corporations, governments, municipalities, non-profits, institutions, financial intermediaries and high-net worth individuals and families.
Our corporate functions support the entire organization and include the following functions: Accounting, Audit, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Technology.
As a Tax Operations Analyst, individual’s work would involve, but not be limited to, the following:
- Manage a team size of up to 10 staff
- Create, update and report daily metrics to Management
- Analyze, review and validate moderate to complex tax forms.
- Accurately process requests for customer’s tax profile on various client systems
- Modify customer information based on daily maintenance requests (address, tax identification number)
- Verify that corrections and modifications in data are fed to various systems
- Monitor failure queues, mailboxes and databases to ensure all items are cleared in a timely manner
- Maintain procedure documents and help drive control-centric environment
- Assist with training documents and training staff on new and revised processes
- Actively participate in projects and meetings
- Implement a control function platform
- Liaise with cross line of business partners to achieve business result driven improvements/ system enhancements with emphasis on strategic end state and controls
- Escalation point for team and some cross department issues, where subject matter expertise required
- Management of small staff, assessing each work allocation and area's of capacity to identify bottlenecks and process efficiencies
- Promote a strong control culture throughout the team
- Strong client focus and relationship-building skills across lines of business and levels
- Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment
Candidate Qualifications required
The candidate must be a People Manager who is able to work in a fast paced, results and metric driven environment.
Additional qualifications:
- Over 7 years of experience
- 2+ years in a People Manager role
- 2+ years Business Process and Managerial experience
- Above average skills in MS office and System tools
- Takes initiative, can work with minimal supervision
- Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan
- Flexible to work overtime and on holidays
- Knowledge of Investment Bank businesses would be an advantage
- Knowledge of US and non-US Regulations (including Tax) a plus.
