Education Background:

Essential :

Engineering graduation in Mech / Automobile / Production branch
Post-Graduation in Transportation Design from NID etc.
Should have been consistent & secured good percentage throughout academics

Experience:

3 to 9 years (Freshers are also applicable)

Roles & Responsbility:

Role:

To build complete clay model/prototype vehicle
To co-ordinate & lead the team of junior clay modellers
To design & develop rolling clay base/armature for clay model
Interpretation of the given design sketch. Understanding the design intent and key design features in the sketch.
Translate a 2D design sketch into a 3D model based on engineering dimensions in either clay, foam or other physical modeling media
Work in collaboration with the designer & engineering team to evolve the model and realize the design values of the project

Technical/ Functional:

Skilled in Clay & Hard modelling
Usage of all the hand tools and power tools required for modelling
Familiar with Finishing, Filming and painting of the model to give them a realistic look.
Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, interact and interpret sketches from creative designers, provide alternate surface solutions in the form of clay and hard models for design reviews.
Experience in handling engineering criteria package as input for building clay models.

Specific expertise required for functional area :

Keen interest in Automotive modelling
Basic understanding of two wheelers is important; knowledge of various manufacturing processes
Must have clay sculpting skills with good knowledge of CMM machine and milling machine.
Knowledge about building prototype vehicles
Basic know how of CAD software’s & Rapid prototyping techniques.
