Weâre searching for a talented and passionate Network Engineer to join our Public Sector Team, who will be responsible to lead to manage all L2/L3 level Network Operations in Bihar State Wide Are Network 2.0
Job Responsibilities
Controlling & Monitoring of Network Infrastructure ( Router, Switches, Firewall, NMS Platform, Servers, Unified Threat Management Box, Link Load Balancer, Website and Content Management Server, Antivirus Servers, Domain Name Server, Bandwidth, network security services, audit
Troubleshooting network problems and outages. The specialist should have deep understanding of the routing protocols and integrated with other networks like NKN/NICNET/SECLAN
Providing recommendations/ suggestions to BSWAN for system improvement
Generating reports on problems occurred in a specific period and take precautionary actions for stopping the occurrence of problems in future.
Participate actively on carrying out network related changes and troubleshooting and resolving complex 2nd level network related problems, coordinate resources where necessary and serve as escalation point to 1st level operational teams
Respond to and resolve IP network issues within the timeframe of severity level agreements
Observe and identify trends of recurring problem and provide resolution to prevent recurrence
Deploy client solutions and network design implementations
Support all aspects of the network management process assuring requests, implementation, and problems are delivered as required with no impact to the global communications environment
Take initiative to proactively discover potential network impacts and resolve issues in the shortest time frame
Participate actively on problem resolution and root cause analysis
Deploy and document changes in accordance with problem and change management process
Communicate to customers, resolution and root cause resulting from the outage or service interruption
Perform most effective approach to restore, recover, or alter configurations, logical or physical, to maintain service integrity
Ability to write fluently and communicate to senior management in non-technical terms

Qualifications And Work Experience
BE/B.Tech/MCA/MTECH degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 Year Experience Into Network Operations
Prior experience of SWAN project and IT Infrastructure/ Network Monitoring, Enterprise level NMS & Helpdesk Management tools
Should have working experience on Networking/Infra related projects Controlling & Monitoring of Network Infrastructure ( Router, Switches, Firewall, NMS Platform, Servers, Unified Threat Management Box, Link Load Balancer, Website and Content Management Server, Antivirus Servers, Domain Name Server, Bandwidth, network security services, audit
Providing recommendations/ suggestions to BSWAN for system improvement
Generating reports on problems occurred in a specific period and take precautionary actions for stopping the occurrence of problems in future.
Prior experience of SWAN Infrastructure Resource more preferences
strong in networking troubleshooting and Network performance analysis
Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite
Strong understanding of Cisco WAN accelerators and Cisco Wireless networking
Hands-on experience of various routing and switching protocols -EIGRP,OSPF,BGP and QOS, STP, HSRP, RPR,RPR ,SSO
Hands on experience with QOS configuration and troubleshooting and various router/switch redundancy/failover protocols - HSRP,RPR,RPR ,SSO etc
Vendor coordination and escalation
incident and Problem management
Experience in handling and troubleshooting Cisco router/switch series - 2800,3800,7200,6500,3750,4500 etc
Basic understanding of the various Network operating systems
Understanding of TACACS and RADIUS authentication and working knowledge of Cisco ACS
Basic to intermediate level of knowledge of AlkaTel Voice
Have strong technical problem determination ability, exceptional system implementation, installation, and disaster recovery planning and ongoing administration experience.
Broad knowledge and background on TCP/ IP, MPLS, BGP, WAN, and LAN.
Good working knowledge on Cisco 65xx/ 72xx/ 76xx, Nexus 5k/ 7k, Websense proxy, ACE & Array load balancer
Sound understanding and working knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
Have a positive and never-say-die attitude. Going beyond what is expected to bring about good result for the team
Experience in an application hosting or data center environment.
Experience maintaining highly available and highly secure networks.
Good process orientation and ability to clarify objectives, evaluate options, consider implications, assess risks, and make key decisions.
Good interpersonal and facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
Sound planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
Certifications
CCSA or equivalent
