KAN Innovations is using embedded/computer vision and cloud based technologies to disrupt the retail and the health & fitness industry. Our product(s) is bringing technology to a part of the retail and health industry that most needs it.

We are looking for a qualified Cloud Engineer to join our team. You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Play an important part in the development of a build and managing cloud services that back embedded and computer vision based hardware products
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture, cloud based services and write software to optimize performance and experience of our products and services board level circuit design and development

Skills & Experience

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related fields
• 1+ years of relevant experience and able to work without supervision.
• Strong Expertise in Python and Django
• Experience in Cloud / Storage like Amazon (AWS) - EC2/EBS/S3
• Demonstrated Deep understanding of software design, development, testing, and problem-solving
• Shown a drive for continuous technical improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Experience setting up and managing servers. Developer experience would be nice to have
• Expertise in coding efficient, high quality and modularized software
• Familiarity with writing Java code is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Unix shell and source control systems and tools such as git
• Experience in developing Web services - Rest/Soap APIs/HTTP API - Microservices
• Strong exposure on Database like RDBMS - Postgres DB / NoSQL DB like DynamoDB, Elasticsearch
• Understanding of machine learning, natural language processing is a plus
