Flatirons Solutions is looking for a Compliance Excellence (CoEx) Associate in our Chennai, India office. Are you passionate about driving business adherence to standards and regulations?

The CoEx Associate will be part of the Operational Excellence team, which is responsible for driving effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance throughout the entire company. We don’t tell teams what to do. We are here to help what teams do, better!

We Are Looking For Someone That

• Support the organization in implementing and monitoring the Export Management System (EMS),the Privacy Management System (PMS),and other legal and regulatory (L&R) by providing information, awareness, guidance, coaching, and training.
• Can plan, conduct and lead internal audits based on standards and regulations such as, but not all inclusive to:
  
  • Export regulations (e.g., U.S. U.K., E.U., India).
  • Privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PDPB)
• Can support external audits, certifications, registration and periodic surveillance audits on the EMS, PMS, and L&R.
• Can define, collect, report, analyze and act upon compliance requirements and key performance indicators (KPI) for the EMS, PMS, and L&R programs.
• Help the organization comply with laws and regulations, such as:
  
  • Anti-bribery and corruption
  • Anti-boycott
  • Anti-money laundering
  • Antitrust
  • Human rights (human trafficking and child labor laws)
• Can assist all departments, functions and teams meet these compliance requirements effectively and efficiently.
• Has strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Is self-motivated, can work independently and a team environment, and operates with a high level on integrity and confidentiality.
• Has strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do All Day

• Assist in bringing policy and procedure compliance across all departments, functions and teams.
• Submit and manage export license applications
• Respond to requests from data subjects
• Conduct data protection impact assessments
• With regards to EMS, PMS, and L&R:
  
  • Follow-up on open Action Requests (AR) ensuring they are resolved and closed in a timely manner by the assignees.
  • Follow-up on open risks tickets ensuring they are mitigated and closed in a timely manner by the assignees.
  • Conduct the document control coordinator (DCC) review on controlled documents.
  • Conduct the Plan Review and the Execution Review on ARs.
  • Follow-up on documents in Draft and Pending Approval status with the appropriate personnel.
  
  
  

What You Need To Know (experience Requirements)

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or Compliance
• Two (2) years of experience in a related field
• Knowledge of global compliance programs
• Knowledge of export management and compliance programs
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations
• Knowledge of managing contractual, statutory and regulatory obligations
• Knowledge of standards such as:
  
  • ISO 27701
  • ISO 31000
  • ISO 37001
• Knowledge of continual improvement tools, methodologies, and able to train others, such as:
  
  • Lean
  • Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred)
  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
  • Visual management.
  
  
  

What Will Sets You Apart

• Knowledge or skills as a software engineer, software quality engineer, or related field
• Knowledge of the aerospace industry
• Knowledge of technical publications (knowledge of ATA iSpec 2200 and S1000D a plus)
• Knowledge of other standards such as:
  
  • ISO 14001
  • ISO 22301
• Active certification in compliance, risk management, or other related field
