To teach different coding and computational skills to the youth with Visual Impairment & to take ownership of the training program and work to develop a more inclusive Computer Science program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and execute lesson plans
Assign tasks and evaluate candidates work and progress
Manage and monitor candidate behavior and motivate them to learn
Conduct group training sessions
Periodical assessment and reporting
Planning remedial classes
Skills and Specifications
Teaching/working experience of JAWS and NVDA. The trainer will teach using screen reader software.
Expertise in HTML, CSS and python. Ready to learn and teach further Computer Science courses as per the requirements.
Understanding of or interest in new teaching methodologies
Strong logical and analytical reasoning
Strong written as well as verbal English communication skills
Ability to give as well as receive constructive feedback
Flexibility and willingness to take on tasks that are outside the expectations of the Position
Experience working with Persons with Disabilities preferred
Education and Qualifications:B.Tech in Computer Science/BCA/MCA

College Connect a new pioneering program, assesses trains and places educated engineers and graduates with disabilities in MNCs and large IT companies. The work has scaled from 1 state to 14 states from 1 location to 32 locations in 6 years. On the supply side, Y4J works have a pan-India pipeline of less educated and educated youth with physical, speech & hearing disability and visual impairment. On the demand side, Y4J works with a network of 500 companies. It acts as a one-stop shop offering companies a comprehensive end-to-end solution in inclusive hiring. This ensures companies, whether private or public sector, experience the benefits of hiring from this untapped labour pool, which mainstreams the hiring of youth with disabilities in India. The work is important for two priorities of the government of India
