Estate Management Consultant (EMC)/ 1 Post

Essential Qualification and Experience: Candidates must have Master degree and previous estate management work experience in Govt. or Private organisation to discharge duties as full time consultant for management of the estate activities of IASST. Pay: 37000- 60000

Junior Engineer (Electrical)/1 Post

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Pay: Rs. 23,000/-(Twenty three thousand) only per month (Negotiable for candidate with credential and previous work experience). No other allowances are applicable.

Age Limit: 40 years for fresh and candidate in job as on last date of application.

Upper age limit for retired person with sound health will be 64 years.

Electrician/1 Post

Educational Qualification and Experience: HSLC or equivalent passed with ITI in trade of wiremen/electrician. Minimum working experience of 3 to 5 years in Govt. sector, public sector & major industrial house. Must have requisite experience certificate from the concerned authority.

Pay: Rs. 13,800

Senior Research Fellow/1 Post

(Development of an integrated multi-omics analysis platform, and its application to elucidate the differential process of silk colouration in the Muga Silkworm Antheria assamensis Heifer)

Educational Qualification and Experience: Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline (NET/GATE qualification) or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.Tech in Biotechnology/M.Sc. in Agriculture/Animal Science) or Ph.D. degree in biological sciences with two years of research experience in the related field.

The candidate should possess experience in both wetlab and bioinformatics work knowledge of Shell Scripting and C/Java programming are desirable. Familiarity with Linux environment is desirable.

Knowledge of High Performance Computing and Message Passing Interface (MPI)/OpenMPI is desirable.

Age: Age limit is 28 years. It is relaxable for SC/ ST/ Woman candidate as per Govt. rule.

Pay: Pay Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA per month (Candidates with NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualification) for Masters in professional courses such as Biotechnology/Agricultural Sciences/Animal Sciences/Pharmacology or M.Sc in Biological Sciences (3 years of B.Sc + 2 years of M.Sc) with two years of research experience. Educational Qualification and Experience: Post graduate Degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline (NET/GATE qualification) or graduate degree in Professional course (M.Tech or M.Sc. Agri. or M. Pharma) or M.Sc. with two years of research experience in related field.

The candidate should have knowledge of microbiology/cell biology/molecular biology/ pharmacology/biochemistry. The candidate should have adequate knowledge on scientific equipments used in the above fields.

Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is a premier scientific research organization in the north-east region, conceived and nurtured by the Assam Science Society in its initial years and was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Dorothy C. Hodgkin on 3rd November 1979. Subsequently, it was supported by the state govt. as its only autonomous R&D institute till March 2009. The institute was taken over in March, 2009 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India as one of its autonomous R&D institute.
