Project Title : 'POSHAN ABHIYAAN e-learning Modules'

Consultant (Nutrition Education)

No. of Vacancy : 1

Qualification : A Master's degree in Mass Communication/ Education. At least 15 years of work experience in Government organization/ PSU in the areas of Nutrition Education/ Training/ extension is essential. Consultancy experience with international organizations is desirable.

Desirable : Research experience in health/ nutrition communication and education. Experience in converting technical background into story board with visual/ audio treatment and coordinate with media agencies to develop e-learning modules.

Emoluments : Rs.60,000/- per month fixed without any other allowances.

Age Limit : Upper age limit 70 years

Consultant (Medical)

No. of Vacancy : 1

Qualifications : MBBS/ MD and minimum of 10 years experience in the area of developing technical content for e-learning modules.

Desirable : Experience in maternal and child health/ public health.

Emoluments : Rs.60,000/- per month fixed without any other allowances.

Age Limit : Upper age limit 70 years.

Selection Procedure : Interview will be conducted for the eligible candidates after verification of the certificates. However. if more number of candidates are found eligible for the post advertised. Written Test/ Skill Test may also be conducted on the same day for final round of Interview.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a 'Deficiency Disease Enquiry' and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged 'Nutrition Research Laboratories' (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
