Consultant/Research Officer job vacancies in Indian Institute of Public Administration (on purely temporary/contract basis)

Pojects : 'Measures to Augment the Resources of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs)' and 'Design of Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers to Rural Local Governments (RLGs) and Resource Gaps'.

Qualification: Ph.D/M.Phil in Economics/Public Administration/Political Science/ Statistics/ Law/ Environmental/ Sciences/Planning/Geography etc.

Essential: Working knowledge in computer

Experience: Two years in the relevant areas

Total Vacancy:1 Posts

Salary Range: Rs.30000- Rs.50000

Duration: Initially for a period of six months which be extended can depending upon need and performance.

Selection Procedure: Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview

In the post-colonial, post-independence paradigm of the early 1950s, Public Administration really meant providing service to the people by the State apparatus using the ground rules of justice, ethics and fair-play. This was the intention of the visionary Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru when he established the Indian Institute of Public Administration on March 29, 1954 based on the recommendations of a survey carried out in 1953 by Dean Paul H. Appleby, a Consultant with the Ford Foundation invited to advise on the subject, by the Government of India.
