Responsibilities

As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, building and deploying the features and underlying systems that power our core collaboration product.
You will interact with everything from our frontend to backend technologies written in React/Angular JS, Java, Jetty etc..
Independently design, develop and modify clean RESTful micro-services and backend applications that conform to company standards and best practices
Develop backend services that expand the capabilities of our collaboration email product
Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices.
Diagnose complex customer issues and deliver solutions
Very hands-on with strong analytic capability & the ability to create innovative solutions.
Interact with development teams providing mentoring & guidance (through code reviews, design reviews, best practices & technical vision) while being still very hands-on & capable of deep diving into implementation details.
Help developer efficiencies by utilizing Continuous Integration/Development tools, test automation frameworks and other related items.
You’ve participated in complex software project initiatives from start-to-finish. You understand the benefits of test-driven development and code reviews and how to squeeze the most out of them.
Participate in global agile and collaborative development teams

Skills and Qualifications
Required

B.E., M.E / M.S. in Computer Science or another equivalent degree.
8+ years of experience working in a Software Engineering role
Expert proficiency in multiple back-end languages (e.g.: Java, Perl, Python)
Web Services, REST/SOAP, HTTP, XML/Xpath/XSL, JSON, AJAX,
Good knowledge of any one of the Database: MS SQL Server/Oracle/ MySql/ Mariadb
Experience leading platform development using micro-services in AWS.
Experience validating requirements and driving technical solutions that achieve business solutions.
Significant and demonstrable experience of using Unix / Linux based Operating Systems including performing basic administrative tasks.
Writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
Experience of working in an environment where products have to be delivered to specific time.
An ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate product and business requirements into technical solutions
You’ve worked in Agile Development, and are keenly aware of the benefits and tradeoffs. You look forward to retrospectives to provide new ideas on how to improve the efficiency of the team
Technical leadership of an engineering team is a plus

Bonus

Good understanding in UI development with Javascript frameworks like Angular/ React
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience in working with. Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with shell scripts, Perl etc.
Experience working in collaboration/messaging domain
Experience developing application that are scalable and flexible
