One Billion Literates Foundation (OBLF) is a registered non-profit, charitable organization founded in 2010 for the purpose of providing quality education to the underprivileged children in rural areas. Its current mission is to achieve this by teaching English and computer literacy to children of Rural Government Primary Schools. OBLF’s strategy is to train and employ semi-educated rural women from the same communities & villages to teach in these schools, thus empowering these rural women and providing intellectual and financial independence to them. We currently work with more than 4500 children in more than 75 rural government primary schools
OBLF is currently revising its curriculum to be based on the Cambridge framework and is looking for experienced content developers to help in the process of developing high-quality English language content for primary and middle school children. The ideal candidate(s) will have strong English Language Teaching (ELT) experience of about 5-8 years, with responsibilities that have included planning, preparing, and delivering lessons, preparing teaching materials, organizing and running courses, etc. Familiarity with the CEFR/Cambridge framework is an added advantage. This is a time-bound assignment to develop unit-wise teaching material for a designated learning level, as per the Cambridge framework. The expected timeline for this assignment is November 2020-January 2021.
