Purpose

At Analog, we aspire to do all we can to rethink the News media and the knowledge economy and come up with online and offline products that inform and entertain the consumer. Media is severely broken and trust is at an all-time low. We might all feel it in some way. Independent outfits need a channel where their voices are amplified. Most of the population has been conditioned to believe whatever information is fed to them in good faith and the repercussions are serious. We believe knowledge can make one feel very powerful and platforms with quality curation and human-centered media products will go a long way in shaping responsible and informed citizens.

Our first solution is to develop a Local News product with a fact-checking mechanism snd the simple premise that we don't want to cover 'Breaking News' but focus more on explaining important happenings and the various forces that shape our world. We believe the transformation will be in understanding what visual delivery format works best for which product/platform so that the consumer gets the information they care about most in the way they best comprehend it.

Role

We are looking for Content Writers (3) to join the early team at Analog Ventures. You will be working on an innovative multilingual news product that you will help shape in many ways. You will be working in the Content Leads' team In addition, to your core skills as a writer, a combination of some of these attributes is desirable in candidates -

-Willingness to constantly learn & evolve

-Everyone has biases. You are able to separate yourself from the content and provide a balanced view

-Be able to accept constructive criticism and take it in your stride

-Ability to read the room and ask the right questions

-Integrity, conviction, and willingness to take a stand and challenge the status quo

-An eye for credible content and to identify BS

-An Ability to condense complicated data to insights

-Empathy, good listening skills, and clear communication lines

-Fiercely passionate about what you believe in
