As our Copy Editor, you will be a part of our highly motivated Marketing team and edit all types of content produced by our team of writers. You will assist our Content Specialist by editing all our content for language and ensuring that only perfectly natural, standard American English is used in all communication.

You must have exceptional, native-like proficiency in English and advanced editing and logical thinking skills. You should be well familiar with the differences between British and American English.

Responsibilities

• Editing all our marketing content for language and ensuring that it uses only standard American English.
• Correcting all grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in content and making it completely error-free.
• Checking facts and ensuring that the content has 100% factual accuracy and all ideas are logical.
• Rephrasing sentences to make even originally awkward keywords sound natural in them.
• Ensuring that all content is free from Indianisms and literal translations that sound unnatural.
• Following the Junglee Style Guide and ensuring that the content has consistency of style and presents a positive picture of our brand.
• Making sure that each piece of content uses the same register (high/low/formal/informal) throughout.

Requirements:

• A master's degree/bachelor's degree in English. (A master's in English/linguistics is preferred.)
• At least two years' experience in editing content. (Experience in writing is irrelevant to the role.)
• A background in publication is preferred.
• Exceptionally high, native-like proficiency in English.
• Advanced editing and logical thinking skills and an eye for detail.
• Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style/APA Style.
• A passion for editing content and a perfectionist approach to editing.
• Receptiveness to feedback and eagerness to learn.
