About the Role

Your job will be largely copywriting (80% of the role) but also include some administrative work (20%). Day-to-day activities include:

• Ad hoc training, from the copy chief, on copy techniques and practices you should use
• Sending interviews for transcription and then summarizing as blog posts
• Workshopping copy with the copy chief
• Creating spit-drafts and outlines for review and approval
• Compiling research
• Proofreading copy
• Helping out on client calls, where necessary
• Updating the project manager on your progress
• Create, execute and manage social media strategy

Skills Required

To succeed in this position, you should:

• Have a degree/diploma in English, Marketing, Psychology or Journalism
• Be tech-savvy 
• Write very well
• Work fast, take initiative + well in small teams and on your own
• Be well-read, in tune with pop culture, and have a healthy appreciation for memes and gifs
• You must have a sense of humour
• Be reliable, dependable and refuse to miss deadlines
• Be prepared for constructive criticism. Copywriting is an iterative process
• Have excellent, stable internet connection
• Be well-spoken, composed, and have excellent client-interaction skills

If hired, you will need to complete a one-month paid probationary period. This position includes hands-on training, and potential for growth. 

NOTE: This is a remote position, and candidates will need to available between 8 AM and 1 PM PST M-F.
