Job Title: Credit and Collection Associate
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 10+Years
Primarily responsible for supporting the monitoring of the external Accounts Receivable balance sheet of a number of client ESSAI (Europe, Sub Sahara Africa and India) entities. You have regular contact with third parties (customers a.o.) and colleagues from other disciplines.
Complexity:
· The position is focused on management activities related to an important aspect of Primary Working Capital (PWC).
· The work covers varied subjects, with a known course of action. Internal and external questions and situations lead to constant switching.
· High accuracy is required.
· Good communication skills and knowledge of the English language are required.
· Given the international character of the company, cultural awareness is part of the position.
· Knowledge of Excel and Word is required as well as knowledge of ERP software (Oracle). Hyperion/HFM is a plus.
· The knowledge should be equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/MBA Finance /CA Inter with 3+ years of experience in credit, collections or account serviceable function.
Independence:
The position is performed quite independently under the coordination and control of the Supervisor Credit & Collection. The Credit and Collection Associate identifies proactively and is able to communicate effectively at the relevant levels outside and within the organization. The work is performed on the basis of instructions, directions and administrative procedures.
The work area includes:
· Maintaining contact with customers in order to minimize the overdue balance.
· Contribute to investigating and solving problems in the correct and timely processing of invoices paid by customers (minimizing on account and unapplied balances).
· Blocking and releasing customer sales orders in consultation with the supervisor.
· Contribute to limiting the buyer credit risk and minimizing the PWC.
· Maintaining external relations with, among others, customers, collection agencies, credit insurance companies.
· Maintaining internal contacts with other functions such as Customer Service, Sales and Business Controllers.
· Provide support with monthly and ad hoc reporting to management.
· Contribute to further optimization of existing processes.
· Replacing the Manager Credit & Collection during absence.
· Ability to work in a matrix environment and provide status of key deliverables to the Manager Credit & Collection).
Risk of failure:
· Incomplete, incorrect and late execution of the work can lead to financial risks and incorrect policy.
· Regular contacts with business relations will usually concern the collection of outstanding receivables.
· Discretion is required regarding transactions, results, etc.
Physical aspects:
· Person is required to work on a Europe shift (2:00PM-10:30PM or 11:30 AM -8:00PM)
