Credit Collection Specialist
RINA, a multinational company with 160 years of experience across multiple industries, is looking for a highly experienced, talented and driven Credit Collection Specialist as part of our India cluster Finance and Accounting team.
The role will be instrumental in driving the business to achieve ambitious and challenging growth targets.
What Your Role Will Involve
We are looking for a competent Credit Collection Specialist to contact clients and collect outstanding payments. You will strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments.
Collection Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work in a team.
Your key responsibilities as a Collection Specialist will include:
- Credit check of client’s balances regularly
- Resolving issues in relation to invoice payments with clients
- Reconciling month-end accounts regularly
- Report to Business Unit/management on outstanding issues
- Whilst highlighting potential debtor problems
- Report all activities related to credit collection to Management and Business Unit regularly
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
- Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
- Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
- Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
- Process payments and refunds
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Update account status records and collection efforts
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Coordinate with collection agency, if any
- Coordinate with legal for any notices to overdue clients
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Familiarity with local taxes
- Working knowledge of MS Office, databases, MS Dynamix AX
- Comfortable working with targets
- Patience and ability to manage stress
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Skilled in negotiation
- Problem-solving skills
- Graduate in relevant discipline with 2-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of more than one regional language will be added advantage.

The role will be based at Marol, Andheri E, Mumbai. Local candidates will be preferred.
