Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media
2. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling
3. Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges
4. Give advice on company information
5. Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
6. Place or cancel orders
7. Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
8. Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions
9. Handle product recalls
10. Persuade the customer to reconsider cancellation
11. Inform customers about deals and promotions
12. Sell products and services
13. Utilize computer technology to handle high call volumes
14. Work with the customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
15. Close-out or open call records
16. Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction
