The Analyst, Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for developing reporting and analyzing supply chain performance. The successful candidate will understand and interpret data, enabling supply chain decision making to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. He/She will drive savings through freight term optimization and will be responsible for maintaining a database and identifying top vendors for conversion and consolidation opportunities. This individual contributor will be an excellent collaborator with our partners in Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and Sales, as well as a critical thinker and great communicator (both written and verbal). Data-driven decision making is key to this role.
Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and publish relevant supply chain metrics and reporting to provide data visibility and support business needs
- Evaluate, validate, optimize, and automate reports for operations management
- Prepare AdHoc analysis focusing on process optimization and cost reduction
- Maintain the Freight Term Optimization Database
- Proactively gather and cleanse data needed to update database
- Run the database and export reports to be used by the Merchandising team
- Work with the Merchandising team to provide knowledge & means of initiating vendor negotiations
- Develop processes for continuous improvement
- Provide root cause driver analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions
- Communicate and present recommendations to all levels of staff and management regarding implementation plans for metrics and scorecards, including automation
- Create documentation / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all process work
