We have been informed of instances where jobseekers are led to believe of fictitious job opportunities with Deloitte India (“Deloitte”). In one or more such cases, false promises of actual or potential selection, or initiation or completion of the recruitment formalities appear to have been or are being made. Some jobseekers appear to have been asked to pay money to specified bank accounts of individuals or entities as a condition of their selection for a ‘job’ with Deloitte. These individuals or entities are in no way connected with Deloitte and do not represent or otherwise act on behalf of Deloitte.

We Would Like To Clarify That

• At Deloitte, ethics and integrity are fundamental and not negotiable.
• We are against corruption and neither offer bribes nor accept them, nor induce or permit any other party to make or receive bribes on our behalf.
• We have not authorised any party or person to collect any money from jobseekers in any form whatsoever for promises of getting jobs in Deloitte.

We are seeking to grow our team with brilliant and diverse contributors with strong technical ability. We are looking for talented Data Scientists/Engineers with experience in building robust data processing systems and software engineering.
Work you’ll do 
As a Data Scientist / Engineer working for the Advisory AI Center of Excellence (CoE), you’ll collaborate and work with teams across the firm to build robust data pipelines and processes that stitch together complex datasets.

You’ll

• Lead data science / engineering projects to build large scale, high-performance data processing systems and pipelines that are reliable, efficient, testable, & maintainable
• Work with technical team and senior management stakeholders to understand their data and transform to usable models for insight generation
• Work with the technical team and broader technology teams to implement data flows/pipelines for AI/ML solutions and services
• Help business teams identify and generate insights from large volumes of data including Big Data
• Design data models for optimal storage and retrieval and to meet critical product and business requirements
• Contribute to shared Data Engineering tooling & standards to improve the productivity and quality of output for Data Engineers across the company
• Participate and contribute to the creation of proofs of concept as part of pursuit / sales cycles
• Work with client and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot data discrepancies and implement scalable solutions
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation, user guides, and training materials

Required

Qualifications and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in (any of) Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields
• 6 years’ experience in Data Engineering or similar role
• Experience in writing complex SQL and ETL development with experience processing large datasets within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift
• Knowledge in data warehousing architecture and concepts
• Experience in Python
• Excellent verbal and written-communication skills 
  

Preferred

• Master’s or advanced certifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or relatedfields
• Experience designing and deploying high performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging practices
• Working knowledge of machine learning
• Effectively work across team boundaries to establish overarching data architecture, and provide guidance to individual teams
• Proficiency in Linux environment (including shell scripting and experience with version control practices and tools (Git, Perforce, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization technology such as Docker, Kubernetes
