Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Set database servers and data pipelines on AWS EC2
2. Import and maintain a large collection of databases into AWS Athena
3. Align the database architecture and schema with data science requirements
4. Develop data pipelines for data acquisition from multiple sources within Athena
5. Migrate the databases from Athena to MySQL when necessary
6. Set up a process to periodically update the databases with the latest data
7. Identify ways to maintain and improve data accessibility and efficiency
8. Write optimized SQL queries in the ETL pipeline
9. Work on learning and adapting to the latest tools that will fit into the AWS workflow
10. Identify tasks that could be automated in the data pipeline
11. Develop scripts using Python libraries like Boto-3 for reading and writing the data into the databases
12. Serve the developed ML models and APIs using tools like AWS Lambda functions, Sage-maker endpoint, and Flask
13. Work closely with the data science team to develop ETL pipelines for running predictions/forecasting on millions of patient data
14. Work on productionizing ML models with docker
