Job Overview

This position is part of a new development group to be responsible for helping different business teams automate their data pipelines. As part of this group, we are looking to hire a python and cloud services engineer. You will work primarily in python and will be exposed to a number of new cloud-based technologies for containerization and horizontal scaling.

Responsibilities

Create data pipeline, data extraction, preprocessing, transformation, and aggregation jobs for a variety of products and services across our Market Intelligence division.
Closely collaborate with data engineers, software development and product teams to ensure accuracy and reliability of tools and data
Evaluate model specifications, data processes and business logics for accuracy, completeness, thoroughness and potential dislocations
Software deployment and release management
Promote an environment that fosters commitment to rigor in data research and analysis operational excellence, collaboration and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
4+ years overall experience working in software development
2+ years of hands-on Python development experience
1-2 years of experience working with some implementation of SQL
2-5 years working with containerization and container orchestration patterns
Experience with git source control
Experience developing or working with REST APIs.
Experience with cloud hosting services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global business and technical teams
Experience leading or managing other engineers
