Responsibilities:
• Contribute to CCB Data Management’s efforts in gathering, reviewing, editing as needed, and publishing metadata at scale
• Understand, disseminate and adopt all applicable data policies, standards and processes.
• Provide status on assigned work items for management and stakeholders on a recurring basis.
• Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the business to develop/enhance knowledge and understanding of the line of business processes, systems of record and authoritative sources and their usage.
• Define terms and definitions for critical data elements in conjunction with business and technology partners.
• Provide input to refine AI/ML logic utilized for metadata mining
• Contribute to development of new tools and processes to allow for more efficient collection, review and management of metadata on large volumes of data elements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business preferred or related equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a major financial services organization
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in any of the following disciplines. Data usage, Process Analysis, Process Improvement, Technology Development/Support.
• Understanding of the CCB businesses, including operational processes.
• Experience working with the data systems supporting the various Sub-LOBs, including experience writing queries and analyzing related queries.
• Basic analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information quickly and assess impacts to data elements.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Ability to interpret and apply standards and guidelines to large quantities of data elements in a fast-paced, highly efficient manner with high quality
• Highly organized as the role requires keeping up with the ever changing environment. Examples include new and improved tools and methodology capture and process metadata.
• Minimal direction required. Data Stewards are expected to be self-starters who can independently manage high volume of data element metadata work within their queue.
