Responsibilities include:

1. Working on data mining or extracting usable data from different data sources
2. Using machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers
3. Carrying out pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
4. Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing solutions based on data science
5. Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
6. Analyzing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
7. Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms

Requirements:

1. Good knowledge of statistical programming languages
2. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools - tableau that help to visually encode data
3. Excellent communication skills - it is incredibly important to describe findings to a technical and non-technical audience
4. Strong software engineering background
5. Hands-on experience with data science tools
6. Problem-solving aptitude
7. Analytical mind and great business sense
8. Degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field is preferred
