Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, domain experts, and data engineers to define project goals and requirements
2. Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI/ML models that solve complex problems and deliver meaningful insights
3. Explore and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for model development
4. Pre-process, clean, and transform data to ensure its quality, relevance, and suitability for modeling purposes
5. Select appropriate algorithms, frameworks, and techniques to build predictive and prescriptive models based on business objectives
6. Optimize model performance through feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model validation techniques
7. Implement and utilize state-of-the-art machine learning methodologies, ensuring the scalability and robustness of models
8. Interpret and communicate the results of complex analyses to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
9. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI/ML, and identify opportunities for their application within the company
10. Contribute to the development of best practices, guidelines, and documentation for AI/ML model development
11. Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and fostering a collaborative learning environment

Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, sci-kit-learn) and their application to real-world problems
2. Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques
3. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
