Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is essential to realizing cutting edge Hybrid Cloud Capabilities and Solutions for clients worldwide using Red Hat technologies and would involve working with highly skilled infrastructure architects and deployment specialists in taking up challenging internal IBM projects in order to develop and execute complex solutions for IBM clients worldwide.

You will bring deep experience and strategic insight spanning from Architecture, Design and Development leadership to client facing solution skills which are among the best in the industry.
In conjunction with IBM Distinguished Engineers and other key leaders, you would also provide guidance to the larger global Community of Practice (CoP) in their area and drive important community supported projects.
You will prioritize building critical intellectual capital that may eventually be brought to bear by the wider IBM audience through development of best in class reusable assets often using state-of-the-art technologies on First of a Kind projects.
The success of this role would be benchmarked globally with industry peers. Excellent practice and knowledge on Cloud based software development and tools, consummate thought leadership, constant innovation and contribution to development of industry standards would be some of the key result areas in addition to meeting business metrics for the respective areas.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 9+ years experience Linux shell scripting/ Windows PowerShell scripting
Knowledge and experience with various cloud service and deployment models (ie: IaaS, PaaS, XaaS, on-premise, off-premise, etc.)
Knowledge and experience with Heat Templates, Terraform would be a plus

Sysadmin background (with both implementation and support experience in terms of infrastructure, servers, OSes, middleware and databases)
Understanding of several middleware such as Oracle, SAP, DB2, MySql, Apache, IIS, etc.,
Solid background with operating systems deployment and administration (various Linux/Unix flavours-RHEL/SLES, AIX as well as Windows Servers)

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

Automation - Knowledge and Development experience on at least any one of these tools : Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Salt Stack.
Automation Development - Any kind of automation development in SDLC to bring effectiveness. Preferably using Ruby, Python

Education: Relevant Graduate/undergraduate degree from a leading university.
