Database Developer recruitment in Mumbai - For a client of TeamLease Services Ltd

Overview

Reporting to the Product Team Leader, the Database Developer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of database schemas, packages and import/export processes to create a Market Analysis product for clients in the Australian wealth management and insurance industry. Using standard Oracle and Linux tools, large volumes of data need to be received, standardized, imported and packaged for consumption by online dashboards and data file delivery as we leverage frameworks extensively developed for UK market products to deliver similar insight to our clients in Australia.

This role will be based in our Mumbai office, and will require co-ordination with colleagues in the UK and Australia.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain database schemas for import, processing and export of financial services sales and holdings
• Work with dashboard developers and Product Manager to structure the data for easy management and multiple delivery routes
• Performance-tune import and export processes to deliver monthly SLAs
• Work with the DBA team to ensure developments meet corporate security and deployment standards
• Co-ordinate with colleagues in London to leverage existing architecture and technical solutions
• Work with Technical Services teams to define production architecture and deployment/control processes
• Work with wider Quality team to ensure application is tested to corporate standards for security and other key areas
• Document design and processes using Confluence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or any equivalent/related course.
• 3+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development
• 3+ years Linux scripting
• Data warehouse creation and mining (Oracle or SQLServer)
• Knowledge of wealth distribution market (products, participants, processes),ideally in Australia
• Experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer
• Oracle data modelling and performance tuning
• Good working knowledge of Linux shell and Perl scripting development
• Database analysis and design for bulk loading and extraction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical mind, excellent attention to detail and able to rapidly absorb complex technical information
