Your Role and Responsibilities
You are a DB2 developer who will be professionals responsible for the physical and technical aspects of a database systems. Responsibilities for this job role include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring & management, and security compliance. Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products

Work with clients to understand the scope and business requirements
Build client relationships and manage delivery expectations
Draft functional requirements
Create detailed technical specifications
Draft and update application documentation and runbooks
Participate in technical discussions and decisions to improve the system
Perform code reviews
Conduct testing and change management
Support User Acceptance Testing, training sessions and user demos
Effectively investigate and troubleshoot escalated application issues
Assist clients on application and data analysis queries
Work with data providers to ensure upstream data requirements are met
Conduct data analysis to ensure quality and alignment with upstream data sources
Escalate production data issues to the providers

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5+ Yrs, DB2 Developer + DBA Exp in Application Dev Area.
Good Db2 Development Experience.
Understanding of indexes, query tuning, stored procs, views, partitioning
Good experience in scripting (Python is +)
Knowledge of data warehousing.
Experience on Big Data would be a plus
Experience on memsql / greenplum.
Exposure to Banking and finance industry is preferred
