Dean : I.
Doctoral degree in any branch of Veterinary and Animal Science with
consistently good academic record from recognized University/Institute.
Eighteen years experience of Teaching, Research and Extension in any branch of
Veterinary & Animal Science (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph. D.
degree) out of which at least 5 years should have been spent in a position not
below the rank of Professor/equivalent post in the pay band-4 of Rs.
37,400-67,000 with grade pay of Rs. 10,000. 3. Basic Veterinary Degree
(B.V.Sc./B.V.Sc. & MD with registration in VC1/state veterinary council. Desirable:
-I. Evidence of contribution to research, teaching and extension education as
supported by published work/innovations. 2. Administrative experience in the
rank of Professor/equivalent cadre/higher post.
Associate Professor : I . Basic Bachelor's Degree in the
concerned faculty with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point
scale. In case of veterinary faculty, a recognized veterinary qualification
included in the first and second schedule in the Indian Veterinary Council Act
1984 and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council / Veterinary
Council of India. 2. Master Degree in the concerned discipline/subject with at
least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the point scale. 3. Ph.D. in the
concerned discipline/subject. 4. 8 years of Teaching/Research/Extension
experience in a recognized University/Institute in the capacity of Assistant
Professor or equivalent excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D Degree.
Desirable:-I. Evidence of contribution to research, teaching and extension
education as supported by published work/innovations. 2. Evidence of guiding
candidates for research
Assistant Professor : 1. Good academic record with Master's degree
in concerned discipline/subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
from a recognized University/Institute. 2. Basic Bachelor's Degree in the
concerned faculty. In case of veterinary faculty registration in VCl/state
veterinary council is essential. 3. NET is compulsory along with one
publication in NAAS rated referred journal in the disciplines/subject where NET
is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D.
degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC
Regulations, 2009 and the candidate has at least two full-length research
papers in journals having a NAAS ratings not less than 4, on the last date of
submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course
work will not qualify for NET exemption. The candidates registered for Ph.D.
prior to July 11, 2009 shall be exempted from NET, subject to the conditions
that: a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; * b)
Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; c) Open
Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; d) Candidate has published
two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be
in a refereed journal; e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in
conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work. (a) to (e) as above are to
be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice-chancellor/Dean (Academic
Affairs)/ Dean (University Instructions). Desirable :-1. Ph.D. in the concerned
discipline/subject. 2. Experience in teaching / research / extension education.
3. Evidence of contribution to research/teaching/extension education as
supported by published work/innovations.
Senior Scientist : I. Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline.
2. A Master's degree in Animal Biotechnology/ All subjects of Veterinary &
Animal Science/Biological Science with specialization in Animal Biotechnology
with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized
University/Institute. (Note: Preference will be given to candidate of Animal
Biotechnology) 3. Basic Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science & A.H. with
at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the point scale with a recognized
University/ Institute with recognized Veterinary qualification included in the
first and second schedule in the Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984 and must be
registered with a State Veterinary Council / Veterinary Council of India. 4. A
minimum of 8 years of experience of Teaching/ Research / experience (excluding
the period of study leave for Ph.D. degree) in a recognized
University/Institute in the capacity of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Principal : 1.
Basic bachelor Degree in the concerned faculty with at least 55% marks or its
equivalent grade in the point scale in case of Veterinary faculty, a recognized
veterinary qualification included in the first and second schedule in the
Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 and must be registered with a State
Veterinary Council/ Veterinary Council of India 2. Master Degree in Livestock
Production Management/ Veterinary Anatomy / Veterinary Medicine / Veterinary
Gynecology and Obstetrics with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in
the point scale. 3. Ph.D. in the above disciplines as mentioned for Master
degree above. 4. 8 Years of teaching/ research/ extension experience in a
recognized university/ institute in the capacity of Asstt. Professor or
equivalent excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree.

Qualifications :
Professor : I. An eminent scholar with Ph.D.
qualification in the concerned discipline/subject and published work of high
quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a
minimum of 20 research papers published in reputed journals with NAAS rating
4.0 or above. 2. A Master's degree in the concerned discipline/subject with at
least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute. 3.
Basic Bachelor's Degree in concerned faculty. In case of veterinary faculty
registration in VCl/state veterinary council is essential. 4. Ten years
experience in Teaching, Research and Extension in the concerned subject/field
(excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree) in a recognized
University/Institute out of which at least 3 years should have been spent in a
position not below the rank of Associate Professor/equivalent post. 5. A
minimum score of 50% in the prescribed score card excluding the marks allotted
for viva-voce. Desirable :-I. Evidence of contribution to research/ teaching /
extension education as supported by published work/innovations. 2. Evidence of
guiding candidates for research.

minimum of 20 research papers published in reputed journals. However, the
essentiality of Ph.D. may be waived off if the candidate has an outstanding
research experience in the field of Panchgavya production and their
applications as evidenced by the published work. 4. Ten years experience in
teaching, research or extension in the concerned subject/field (excluding the
period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree) from a recognized University/Institute,
out of which at last 3 years should have been spent in a position not below the
rank of Associate Professor/equivalent post. Desirable:-1. Experience in
Panchgavya production, research and extension. 2. Evidence of contribution to
research/teaching/extension education as supported by published
work/innovations. 3. Evidence of guiding candidates for research.
