Compliance-
Responsible for overall GST compliance including:
· Co-ordinating with all Plant Controllers to
ensure timely and accurate return filing and tax payment
· Completion of annual audit and return
filing
· Monitoring of input tax credit
· Set up and monitoring of system for
customer / vendor reconciliation
· Defining and supervising accounting of GST
transactions
· Managing master data relating to GST in SAP
· Coordination with SCM/Marketing and Finance
dept for activities relating to GST
Audit and Control
activities
· Defining
and implementing internal controls for GST management.
· Interaction
with Internal and Statutory auditors for matters relating to GST and resolution
of audit observations and requirements.
· Oversight on Plant operations relating to GST.
Litigation
management and Representation –
· Representing the Company before Government departments, Tribunals and
Courts for Litigation in Indirect taxation including GST, VAT, Excise/service
tax and Customs
· Liaison with Government department and officials Appointment
and liaison with consultants / lawyers.
Business support-
· Training
of staff in accounting and other department son matters relating to indirect
taxation
· Giving
support for structuring of various business transactions for an indirect tax
perspective.
· Advising
the Management on changes / developments in indirect tax laws and procedure.

a central team for GST accounting and compliance
