Deputy Superintendent Of Police/Assistant Commandant

Eligibility riteria From amongst officers of the Central Armed Police Forces / State Police holding analogous post (Deputy Superintendent of Police I Assistant Commandant) in the Pay Band 3. Rs. 15600- 39100/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- (Pre Revised). Level-IO in the pay matrix (Revised) on regular basis; OR Inspectors in level-7 in the pay matrix Rs. 44,900-142400 (Revised) or equivalent with three years regular service in that grade either from Central Armed Police Forces or State Police.

(i)Three years experience as Instructor/Trainer in the rank of DySP/AC/Inspector in planning, co-ordination, teaching and conduct of outdoor and indoor training related to field craft and tactics. (ii) He/She should be qualified in minimum two certified courses conducted by the CAPF/State Police in areas like Map Reading & Tactics, Explosive weapons. (iii) Two years service in operation field area in unit / battalion in the rank of DySP/AC/Inspector. (iv) Working knowledge of computers. (i)Two years experience in General Administration. (ii)Two years experience in the Works branch I section or possessing Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering.(iii)Having specialisation in field craft and tactics. (iv)Preference will be given to officers possessing law and knowledge of police related subjects. (v) Officers below the age of 45 years will be degree in Engineering.

Nature of Duty: (i) To act as an in-charge of the outdoor activities of 'Special Tactics Wing'(STW) related works. (ii)To coordinate and correspond with the offcers in regard to execution / implementation of the courses. (iii)To report to AD (Tac) or any other Supervisory Offcer or any other general administrative duties as and when assigned by the competent autho

The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), trains officers of the Indian Police Service, who have been selected through an All India based Civil Services Examination. The trained officers will be posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in their respective states under whom the other sub-ranks of police force will be working.
