Job Description

  • To lead and develop a team of engineers to design precision assemblies including electrical servomotors, gearboxes and allied accessories for industrial applications.
  • To coordinate, review and monitor the progress of development projects
  • Review and develop components, subassemblies and complete motor assemblies based on PEPL standards and customer specifications
  • Complete Mechanical Design of individual components of Brushless DC servomotors, AC   servomotors and associated gearboxes either from basic design principles or by way of reverse engineering.
  • Interface the Mechanical design with Electrical Design Team and bought out accessories.
  • Review of Drawings, datasheets or specifications regarding content for easy and cost-effective manufacturing and conformity to customer specifications and design codes.
  • Preparation of Development Plan / Schedule, balance the workload within team, follow up   with Production and sub suppliers/component manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of Prototypes.
  • Proactive communication with Marketing Heads / Profit Centre Heads for interfacing with End customer for Testing and Approval of Prototype.
  • To guide and train a team of engineers to prepare manufacturing drawings of precision components for motors and gearboxes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies
