Level in Pay Matrix: Level-2 (Rs. 19900-63200).
Method of Appointment and Eligibility: Deputation or Absorption: From amongst the regular Multi Tasking Staff (Group C) in the Ministry of Power who possess a valid driving license for Motor Cycle or Autorickshaw; failing which from officials holding the post of Despatch Riders or Multi tasking Staff on regular basis in other Ministries of the Central Government who fulfill the necessary qualifications as mentioned in column (5).
For Ex-servicemen: Deputation or re-employment. The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications prescribed shal also be considered. Such persons would be given deputation term upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.
Note 1:-The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
Note 2:- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Educational and other qualification is required for direct recruits: Essential: 10th Standard or Matriculation or Industrial Training Institute equivalent pass from a recognised Board or University Possession of a valid driving license for Motor Cycle or Autorickshaw; two years' experience in driving Motor Cycle or Autorickshaw knowledge of Motor Cycle or Autorickshaw mechanism and the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle, and Ability to read English and Hindi.
Desirable: Three years' service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers Note: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, if, at any stage of selection, the competent authority is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates with requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
