Who you are:

You are a Developer for Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, who will apply your deep expertise in design & development, as well as code fix and testing Cognos applications

What you will do:

As a Developer for Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics, you will:

• Apply your deep expertise in design & development, as well as code fix and testing Cognos applications
• Manage the delivery while working with distributed multi-geography teams
• Support our Sales Planning systems
• Manage all aspects of TM1 and Planning analytics work (structured and unstructured) from business requirements to physical design in an IT solution
• Analyze data across data sources to support requirements, identify integration and security requirements and support building the data architecture for the project
• Perform technical and business analysis of data and business rules, consolidation, cleansing and harmonization of enterprise TM1 models in support of application integration
• Design TM1 cubes to ensure data parity across multiple systems
• Change / update TM1 and Planning analytics application in line with the user/product owner requirements
• Create Unit test cases and ensure unit testing is done properly.
• Address production defects, if any, on time
• Create low-level design documentation from the high-level requirement from the business team
• Design and develop of Cognos processes using TM1/PA against various data sources
• Handle technical issues, get involved in code reviews and mentor the team members

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Relevant years of experience in development, implementation with solid experience in IBM Cognos TM1
• Working knowledge on Data warehousing concepts, ETL concepts and PL/SQL
• Validated understanding of Cognos TM1 and Planning Analytics
• Ability to handle Cognos administration tasks like creating data source connections, publishing packages, scheduling reports and deployment of packages and reports

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and ability to display analytical thinking for problem solving
• Understand TM1 and Planning Analytics (relational and multidimensional) architecture
• Ability to perform data discovery/quality analysis and architect a solution in TM1 based upon customer requirements using a typical Business Intelligence architecture
• Experience in performing or guide team to perform key architectural and development tasks
• Expertise in developing a value proposition and working with strategic partners to illuminate these solutions
• Demonstrated ability in design planning analytics environment that both address the user's requirements and perform efficiently/effectively
