About This Role The Development Ops Engineer entails working with various team members from across the organization, primarily in the technology management division. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative Development Ops team which provides continual proactive technical infrastructure support and improvement on all environments of Forrester services/products and platforms, ensuring their optimal systems availability and reliability. Under the supervision of Development Ops manager, you must contribute to the improvement of Development Ops implementation while applying the latest IT securitys best practices. Responsibilities Participate in all stages of infrastructure provisioning, from POC to production support. Assist in implementation of security best practices and initiatives at all levels of the systems infrastructure. Develop Development Ops automation scripts to improve systems efficiency. Ensure maximum uptime of cloud and on-premises environments, including production, staging, testing, and development environments. Apply the latest OS and security patches, ensuring the compatibility of underlying running application. Participate in the disaster recovery/business continuity (DRBC) routine exercises. Handle help desk tickets and mitigate any production issues. Qualifications Good knowledge in administrating AWS web applications. Advanced experience as a Linux administrator, particularly CentOS 6.x and 7.x. Knowledge of windows administration. The ability to work with little supervision; someone who is self-driven and motivated. Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) Jenkins and Git. Experience with containerized microservices. Experience with enterprise monitoring and backups protocols. Strong scripting skills using Shell, Python, etc. Experience in administering, supporting, and solving problems in complex server environments. Experience in working collaboratively with various applications development teams throughout the organization to resolve problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to produce and process technical documents. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into information systems solutions. Basic IT security knowledge. Someone who is a team player. Familiarity/experience with the Development Ops process.
