DevOps Engineer II India - Gurgaon Expedia Position Overview Hotwire DevOps provides the platform, tools and processes needed to test, deliver, monitor and analyze Hotwire services in a rapid, highly available and secure manner. Our domain includes all e-commerce and analytics infrastructure, our CI/CD pipeline, and much more. 

We are looking for a highly talented DevOps Engineer to join our team. Do you think you're the ideal candidate? Then you are obsessed with automation, configuration management, cloud computing, and up-time. You have years of experience working with highly available Linux Systems running on VMWare and in public clouds like AWS. 

You are passionate about working with development engineers to get more done faster with less effort using technologies like Chef and Docker, Containers along with continuous delivery tools like Jenkins. For this position, you should have good communication skills and enjoy working both on individual tasks and as part of a team of engineers working to solve problems in rapidly changing environment. 

Core Responsibilities

 You will design, build and support scalable, resilient solutions, using cloud-based technologies in an agile manner You utilize your orchestration experience with Containers and Chef on AWS infrastructure You will write clean, easy to understand code for our data pipelines. You research, implement and improve a range of cutting-edge technologies. You have a demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work with strong attention to detail You know your way around AWS services, design patterns and deployment strategies. Your clear and confident interpersonal and communications skills make you an excellent teammate and give you the ability to work on individual projects and as well as team projects 

Required Skills & Experience 

Expert-level knowledge of DevOps with 5 years of professional experience Methodologies for developing scalable and resilient cloud applications Experience with Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar tools Experience with Cloud Formation, Terraform Strong containers technology experience. (ECS/Docker) Scripting experience in Ruby, Bash, or similar. Create functional and operational automation and orchestration system requirements and specifications Ability to make quick decisions as well as thoughtful, well researched plans Track record with researching, implementing and improving technologies Ability to act as an escalation point and mentor for others on your team Pluses include Solid technical knowledge of low-level virtualization technologies.
