Work you’ll do

The Innovation team helps develop technology solutions for the Firm and assists Deloitte’s businesses (Risk & Financial Advisory, Audit, Consulting and Tax) in structuring and executing their individual innovation objectives.

Your Primary Responsibilities Include

Establish an automated DevOps infrastructure lifecycle management pipeline which delivers tooling for next-generation systems management efforts (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops). Cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery mindset.

Ensure teams are provided a full set of DevOps lifecycle management tools by leading the establishment of appropriate tooling and processes that will result in a fully automated infrastructure and systems lifecycle management pipeline to include: operating system templates and repositories, tool and systems management workflows, automated deployment processes, configuration management for infrastructure and systems, and operational metrics/debugging information (to targeted teams).

Partner with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules. Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions that move cyclical and project activities forward in a timely manner.

Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.

Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve objectives; technically guide cyclical and project activities through to completion.

Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality.

Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to lifecycle management processes and tools.

Develop and own infrastructure & system KPIs to ensure performance is measured against expected business outcomes.

Ensure tools, infrastructure and systems are deployed, configured, monitored, measured, and supported in a manner that aligns with business service level objectives.

The US Innovation product team focuses on incubating and developing emerging technology products to improve client service delivery for the firm and enabling a ‘Digital’ Deloitte. These emerging technologies include but are not limited to - Robotic Process Automation, Chatbots, Natural Language Processing, Natural Language Generation, Data Wrangling, Cognitive Technologies, Machine Learning, and Blockchain. The team assesses opportunities, evaluates appropriate vendors, develops prototypes and delivers products to the business.

Qualifications

Graduation Degree: Masters / Bachelors in Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Engineering, Science or related discipline from a top-tier program

Professional with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and a maximum of 8 years

Direct, hands-on experience with DevOps processes and lifecycle management tools

Strong experience with IaaS implementation in a cloud-hosted model – Azure required

Experience with:

SDLC tools, such as Jira, Bitbucket, Git, etc.

APM/monitoring tools such as NewRelic or AppDynamics.

Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

Developing and delivering infrastructure-as-code

Scripting languages like – Python, C/C++, Java, Javascript, Bash, Ruby, Perl

Relational database management languages like SQL

Compliance programs like SOC1, SOC2. – preferred

Container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes - preferred

Work Location: Mumbai

Work Timings: 11 am to 8 pm

Skills Required

Understand how to automate systems deployment for all lifecycles - from development through production within a Continuous Delivery model
Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
Working knowledge of Docker, containerized microservice architecture, and automated deployment/management of containerized applications. - preferred
Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
Self-accountable for ensuring that results are achieved; demonstrate a strong orientation towards achievement; deliver work in a timely matter with minimal errors and guidance
Should be a problem solver that can link business requirements to end design digital application or solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Effective team player and functions as Active Participant; demonstrates reliability and who can communicate constructively
Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration tools
High degree of self-confidence, poise, maturity, discretion, diplomacy, and empathy
