Marketing Manager for WVHPL Digital - Job Description
The Marketing Manager will implement the company’s marketing. Tasks include content strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and cultivate leads and work closely with sales.
The Marketing Manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing the Company’s content strategy, creating relevant content, blogging, community participation and leadership.
The goal is to gradually achieve more customer acquisition rates, increased monetization of content, superior customer engagement and intimacy, the website traffic and user-based revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the digital and offline marketing roadmap.
Experience: 5+ years in an online company (Team management skills is a must)
This role reports to the CEO.
Build and execute marketing strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of a company’s social content. Monitor and manage social media team and content.
Be responsible for monetization of online content and work with blog team to ensure more revenue through content marketing
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Data analytics report to be generated daily, weekly and monthly. User acquisition and monetization strategies and rolling out implementations is a must.
Manage agencies on a day to day basis for all email campaigns, social media campaigns and digital initiatives
Improve upon the product development (Website) by continuously giving feedback on user metrics
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions Qualifications and Experience
Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Digital/Social Media
Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the Company’s field.
Displays the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
Team management and leadership skills a must
Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”.
Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
Experience in the online start-up space is preferred.
