Role Summary:The proposed job description is opened as part of an ongoing business expansion to deliver of applications and services delivering power systems analysis, controls, and management adapted to automation systems. The market needs for this sort of applications is undergoing an important expansion especially given the strong transitioning towards digital end-to-end advanced application solutions embedding added-value functionality and services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain power system component models according to model library principles and business priorities for offline and real-time use.
Develop standard power system network models according to business priorities for offline and real-time use. Performing of offline power systems studies (e.g.: protection coordination, stability, power flow) issuing the appropriate test reports and analyses. Provision of recommendations for power system applications development and design as requested. Development of DER and DR network interface controls including power electronics (PWM, MMC, etc.) Identifying opportunities for product enhancements and new product/service developments. Directly contribute to new product research and development. Working with customers to identify and solve power systems issues using our software solutions, while ensuring that any REX is used for feeding/prioritizing future developments.
Qualifications/Requirements: MSc engineering degree or equivalent in a recognized entity with strong software development expertise.
Advanced English language skills. Minimum 5-year experience in SW development including embedded SW development. Proven expertise in power system modeling and network studies. Entrepreneurial and team player. Demonstrated experience in autonomous problem-solving with proposal of adapted solutions. Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly at technical level either orally or in writing.
Desired Characteristics: Experienced user of common industrial communication protocols (IEC61850, IEC 104, DNP3, etc.)
Ideally proven experience (user-perspective) in the following OSs: Linux, VxWorks, Windows. Advanced understanding of power-system, distributed generation including renewables energies, and energy storage integration know-how. Confirmed computer programming skills including C, C++, Python, XML, HTML. Curious and motivated to push technology boundaries.Additional Locations:India;Hyderabad
