(a) Educational Qualification Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technolow in Electronics / Electricals / Electronics & Communications / Telecommunication / Computer Science / Information Technoloy or Masters in Computer Applications or M.Sc in Physics / Design / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics / Applied Electronics / Operation Research / Information Technology with 25 years of post Total Quality Management / qualification experience. OR Master's Degree in Tech. / Engineering in Electronics / Electricals / Electronics & Communications / Telecommunication / Computer Science with 22 years of post qualification experience. OR Ph.D in any of the above cited subjects with 17 years of post qualification experience.

(b) Essential Experience: The candidate must have atleast 5 years experience in Senior Management Capacity.

II. Desirable; Thorough knowledge of (i) Policies of Government of India (ii) Corporate Management.

B. Absorption/ Deputation (including short term contract):- Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Bodies:- (a) holding analogous post on regular basis OR with three years regular service in Pay Scale of Level 14 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. — 2, 18,200/ in the Parent Cadre or Department. AND (b) Possessing the Qualification(s) and experience prescribed for Direct Recruitment mode,

Note 1: Period Of deputation (including short term contract) in another ex- cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or other Organisation or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years.

Note 2: The maximum age limit for appointment by Deputation/ Deputation (including short-term contract) shall not be exceeding 58 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

Note 3: The maximum age limit for appointment by Absorption basis shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

Age Limit:Not exceeding 58 years

The NIELIT Centre at Chennai also being developed as an advanced training and development centre housing state of the art facilities with special emphasis technologies of IECT viz. VLSI Design , Embedded System, networking, Information Security, and IT Applications such as e-learning / multimedia animation).
