Job Description

Director, Punjab Engineering College

Number of Post : One

Pay Rs. 2,10,000/- (fixed) plus Special Allowance of Rs.5,000/- (fixed) per month and other allowances as per rules. 

Tenure of Post Five years or till the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier. Eligibility Criteria Being the Academic as well as Administrative Head, the candidate is expected to have proven administrative and leadership skills with excellent research profile. 

He/she should be preferably from the IIT system. He / She is expected to have a minimum of 3 years' administrative experience and leadership qualities at the level of Director / Deputy Director / Dean / Associate Dean / Head of Department or equivalent from an Engineering Institute. 

The candidate should be a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, preferably in a branch of Engineering. 

He / She should have an outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years teaching experience as a Professor in a reputed Engineering or Technology Institute or University, preferably from IIT system and should have guided Ph.D students. Place of posting Chandigarh 

Age Preferably less than 57 years on the last date of receipt of application
