Director job opportunities in National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (NITTTR),Kolkata

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for appointment to the post of Director of NITTTR, Kolkata, carrying a fixed pay of Rs. 2,10,000 (fixed) + Special Allowance of 5,000/- shall continue till a final decision is taken on Revision of Special Allowance after consultation with the Ministry of Finance.. The Director shall be appointed by the Central Government on contract basis and would hold office for a tenure of 5 years from the date of joining. The tenure shall not ordinarily extend beyond the age of normal superannuation as applicable to a faculty of a Central University.

Minimum Qualification & Experience : A regular Professor in Engineering and Technology or Applied Science with a minimum total experience of 15 years in the field of Teaching / Industry / Research.

Desirable : a) Administrative experience in a responsible position; b) Published Research Work of high standard; and c) Membership of Professional Bodies.

Age : The candidate applying for the post should preferably be below 60 years of age.

This was the first among four such institutes (other three being at Chandigarh, Bhopal & Chennai) established by the Dept. of Education, MHRD, Govt. of India as fully centrally funded autonomous institutions for providing pre & in-service training to the teachers and staff of Degree and Diploma level training institutions and also for conducting various activities related to quality improvement of the technical education system of the country.
