Eligibility and experience: The following provisions are made in the Bye-Laws-2015 pars 14 (2) (ka) (kha) of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow regarding the eligibility and tenure of Director. 14 (2) (ka) Only those candidates who have not attained the age of sixty two years shall be eligible for the appointment to the post of Director. (kha) Director shall hold the post from the Date of joining for five years duration or attainment of sixty five years of age. whichever is earlier.

Educational Qualification: As prescribed by Medical Council of India from time to time. "Should possess the recognised postgraduate medical qualification and other academic qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of ten years' teaching experience as Professor/ Associate Professor/Reader in a medical college/lnstt. Out of which at least five years should be as Professor in a department. Preference for these appointments may be given to the Heads of the Departments. "

Maximum age: Applicant should be less than 62 years on the last date of receiving the application

Pay scale: The Pay scale of Director of Institute would be fixed pay as per tipsy commission and will he of the level — 17, Grade Pay Rs 2, 25.0001-+NPA

Research is another area of activity for medical education department. The directorate facilitates a comprehensive medical education via various medical, dental and paramedical colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. on the other hand, it also provides standard medical facilities to the patients.
