Name of the Post: Director (Plan Evaluation and Monitoring)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000-375-16,500/- (5th CPC)/ PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs. 7,600/- (6th CPC) corresponding to Level 12 of Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
Eligibility: Deputation (including short term contract): Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Recognised Research Institutions, Universities, Semi Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisations:
(a) (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) With five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.10,000- 15,200 (5th CPC)/ PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + G.P Rs. 6,600/- (6th CPC) corresponding to Level 11 of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:
(i) Master's Degree in Economics or Statistics or Computer applications or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Possessing ten years' experience in Research or Investigation work and supervising research or investigation, analysis of data, examination of implications of economic policies.
Job Requirements: To evaluate and monitor the progress of implementation of schemes taken up under the NEC Plan and compilation and analysis of statistical data, preparation of seminar/conference papers etc., collection of economic data regarding plans, examination of implication of various economic policies so as to facilitate formulation of policies and their evaluation, preparation of notes, memoranda paper etc. and to initiate and direct specialized research work.
