Distinguished Emeritus Centenary Professor  job Position in Bose Institute

Eligibility Criteria :The position will he offered to Academicians with I. Proven track record in areas of cutting edge Science & Technology II. International eminence III. Leadership qualities required for building/ nurturing new groups of young and mid-level scientists in emerging areas of Science & Technology of interest to the Country. IV. The appointee must be Citizen of India or of Indian origin (DCUP10).

Honorarium and Research Support: Honorarium and Research Support and other facilities offered to the Centenary Chair Professors shall be at par with those for the Year of Science Chair Professorship of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The honorarium will be over and above any other remuneration and not linked to salary / pension etc. The Centenary Chair Professor shall be free to seek / receive additional funds from national and international funding agencies.

Tenure of Appointment: I. The tenure of appointment shall initially be for a period of 5 years or till the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier. It can be extended till the age of 70 years through assessment on the basis of performance. II. In exceptional case the appointment (or renewal of appointment) can be beyond the age of 70 years, provided the person has granted international distinction like Nobel Prize, Field Medal, Abel Prize, Fellowship(s) of international societies like Royal Society (London). the National Academy of Science (USA),the Russian Academy of Science or equivalent.
