Your Role and Responsibilities

As Distributed Batch Specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

What will you do

• Adopt the given technology to meet the drift of customer and business requirements
• Set up a medium to large extent office, support data center services, remote servers, and set up remote site by configuring needed infrastructure
• Analyze and research options for collaborates with exiting external systems
• Participate in architectural planning for service management and service assurance
• Root Cause Analysis preparation and meeting Service level agreement for submission.
• Monitoring and controlling the operation of the hardware and software.
• Performing actions on the Jobs like Submit, Add/Delete dependencies, hold, skip a schedule etc as requested by resolver.
• Maintain, manage and update the solution design and the Infrastructure Project design through the lifecycle stages of the Project.
• Planning and implementing fixes / Patches.
• Monitoring the system consoles for unusual conditions and works with the system programming and production control staff to ensure the health and normal operation of the systems.
• Problem determination and resolution within expected time frame.
• Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems.
• Lead daily Operations meetings provided there are no P1 incidents running
• Aid with identifying problem management trends

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Distributed batch environment
• Proven knowledge in Batch Monitoring, Working Knowledge on IMS and IMS commands, performing periodic shutdown and IPLs, Supporting platform teams for their changes. Escalation process
• Ability to monitor Job abends / Node down issues. Expertise in client account/industry
• Ability to develop and maintain configuration management solutions
• Working knowledge with the configuration and maintenance of server and network hardware and peripherals

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
