Job Summary:

As a Distributor Sales Development Manager, you will serve as the face of Ecolab and provide recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation process and programs.  Distributor Sales Development Managers are responsible for driving sales channeled through approved Distributor Partners.  Distributor Sales Development Managers deal directly with distributors and their success depends on their value to provide each distributor and end user customer through prompt, personal, and reliable service. 


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell new business to drive sales and deliver distributor budget.
  • Minimum new sales expectation is USD $400,000 per annum in invoiced new sales.
  • Develop and execute business and marketing plans with assigned distributors
  • Meet with each assigned distributor partner/branch location manager on a monthly basis to review the business relationship and that business targets are on plan.
  • Introduce new products and enhance distributor sales and service capabilities through presentations, training, demonstrations and using other Ecolab resources
  • Educate Distribution Sales Representatives on Ecolab products through effective sales techniques
  • Accurately complete administrative duties
  • Perform work in a safe manner and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree and a minimum of 3- 5 years Ecolab sales experience with full product knowledge

·         Ability to sell value added products to new customers with strong consultative, selling and influencing skills

·         Functional ability to operate computer and computer applications

·         Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

·         Availability to provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends, and over holidays.
