WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Enhance, de-bug and maintain an array of Drupal-based websites. Strong emphasis on theming and custom front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
Partner cross-functionally with Business, Digital Marketing, Project Management, User Experience, Digital Platform and back-end teams to create world-class customer experiences using Agile development methodologies
Work with clients to determine their business drivers, assess technical needs, and deliver high-quality, creative solutions and innovative implementations that meet stakeholder goals and requirements
Act as the translator of customer business requirements and creative design artifacts into functional specifications and technical design specifications and work closely with the technical leads and their assigned development team to get the projects executed.
Steward of innovation who can recommend ways to increase velocity/speed-to-marketing through streamlined processes while improving the user experience through customer-focused design
Lead client calls and software demonstrations with customers and key stakeholders.
Contribute to and govern code review process, and documentation, with team of developers, ensuring a stable and relatively bug-free environment
Test cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies
Lead quality assurance and testing best practices, ensuring for all developed functionalities are tested within defined structure
Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
Disseminate technology best practices
Review, document and improve existing internal systems and development processes
Work with senior developers in the adoption of new technologies within our technology practice
Perform other tasks and responsibilities, as needed
You Have
Academic background: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, or equivalent demonstrated work experience, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Development or similar
Previous experience in or with Acquia Cloud (Drupal-tuned application lifecycle management suite with a complete infrastructure) to support Drupal deployment workflow processes from development and staging through to production.
5+ years of Drupal web application and web site development, with experience building complex yet responsive corporate web sites, eCommerce sites, portals that are mobile-firstwith a high degree of customization and involving large data sets.
Requires experience with integrations, in-depth knowledge of the platform and an understanding of modules/add-ons/extensions
5+ years of development in client side scripting (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Ajax, JSON)
3+ years managing web application projects
Solid foundational knowledge of Drupal best practices and architecture:
Drupal 8 theming, theme layer, module system and experience writing or extending modules, JavaScript behaviors
Knowledge of current industry standards related to user experience and design
Handling common theme preprocessing tasks with PHP using Drupal best practices
Understanding of front-end performance issues facing high traffic Drupal sites
Implementation and adherence to accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)
Implementing SEO standardsCSS preprocessors (SASS, Less)
Skills
Drupal 8
Web knowledge in terms of developed, secured and high-performance websites
Drupal 8.x, configuring control modules
Familiarity with A/B testing
Experience with developing, maintaining and improving DevOps pipelines and automation tools (such as GitLab, Gulp)
Knowledge and experience with Agile and Test-Driven development methodologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner
Ability to read and interpret documents, i.e., project scopes or proposals
Ability to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Stays up-to-date on new and evolving technologies via formal training and/or self-paced learning
Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
Ability to work with associates on a team under the supervision of a leader or work independently as necessary
Ability to work across time zones in a multi-cultural environment
The ability to clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods during normal working hours is required
Potential travel requirements are 3-5 trips per year (including international travel)
