Eligibility for Deputation: Officers of the Central Government (a) (I) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the Parent Cadre or Department, or (ii) Five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15.600-39.100 with a grade pay of Rs. 6600 or equivalent in the Parent Cadre or Department; and (b) Possessing the educational and other qualifications as given below: (I) Master's Degree in English from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Ten years' experience in journalism or as Editor in English in any publication department of the Central Government or any Newspaper or News Agency or Publicity Organization under the Central Government.

Desirable :Degree or Diploma in Journalism from a recognized University or Institution.

Scale of Pay :  Pay Band-3 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- (pre-revised )/Level 12 in the Pay Matrix
